The 88th United States Congress was a meeting of the legislative branch of the United States federal government, composed of the United States Senate and the United States House of Representatives. It convened in Washington, D.C., on August 18. 2022, and concluded on July 15, 2023.
The first session lasted from the election of the new Congress on August 28, 2022, until the House special election on November 17, 2022. The second session started on November 17, 2022 and ended following the swearing in of the 89th Congress on July 15, 2023.
Since political parties have been banned by the United States Clan Management, no party controlled either the Senate nor the House of Representatives, with all members of Congress being independent politicians.
