User Access Levels
The purpose of user access levels is to determine what actions a user can perform on the wiki. Each access level grants users a set of permissions, depending on their role or rank. Below are the different access levels and their associated privileges:
1. Basic User
A Basic User is any registered user who has created an account but has not yet earned any special privileges.
Permissions
- View and read pages
- Edit most articles and pages
- Create new pages
- Participate in discussions on the talk pages
2. Autoconfirmed User
An Autoconfirmed User is a user who has met certain requirements, such as having a registered account for a set period of time or having made a specific number of edits.
Permissions
- All Basic User permissions
- Edit semi-protected pages
- Move pages (subject to restrictions)
3. Administrator
Administrators, or "sysops," are users who have been granted extra powers to help maintain the wiki and its pages. Administrators have more advanced privileges than regular users.
Permissions
- All Autoconfirmed User permissions
- Protect and unprotect pages
- Block and unblock users
- Delete and restore pages
- Edit fully-protected pages
4. Bureaucrat
Bureaucrats are trusted users with higher access than administrators. They have the ability to manage user rights and grant or remove administrative powers.
Permissions
- All Administrator permissions
- Assign or remove user rights (e.g., promote users to Administrator or Bureaucrat)
- Manage user groups and permissions
5. Steward
Stewards are users with the highest level of access on the wiki. They have the ability to manage user rights and perform high-level administrative tasks.
Permissions
- All Bureaucrat permissions
- Full access to all user data and advanced permissions
